From the very beginning, we were brought into the project by OJB Landscape Architecture (OJB). We were tasked with designing and fabricating a trellis, arbor, and fencing system that would not only meet the functional needs of the hospital but also enhance its aesthetic appeal. We partnered closely with OJB to help bring their vision to life, providing early design input and ensuring the project remained on budget and on track throughout development.
As the project progressed, our role expanded. Ruppert Landscape and McCarthy Builders contracted us to fabricate and install the key elements: an aluminum trellis system with a metallic finish, a pergola-style cedar arbor, and a galvanized cable railing. Our involvement from the early schematic design stages to the final construction allowed us to track the project’s evolution closely, ensuring every detail was meticulously planned and executed.
The aluminum trellis system, featuring faux wood grain powder-coated louvers, was a highlight of the project. We used digital processing to streamline fabrication, allowing us to develop the entire structure in one piece. This approach not only ensured a seamless installation, which was completed in a single day, but also minimized our impact on the hospital site.
In addition to the trellis, we erected a striking cedar arbor, crafted from large cedar timbers and supported by steel columns with a galvanized finish. The design featured thoughtful lattice work and a clear-coated finish on the wood, blending natural beauty with structural integrity.
The galvanized cable railing we installed was a simple yet elegant final touch, made of solid steel stock with a metallic finish that matched the trellis. This attention to detail and consistency in design underscored our commitment to delivering a cohesive, high-quality result.
We engineered every element within our scope, from the structural components to the final finishes. It was an honor to be part of such a prestigious project, working alongside McCarthy Builders, Ruppert Landscape, and OJB.
